That project resonated as a powerful declaration, not merely a film.Selected to represent Azerbaijan at the Adami Media Prize Project Pitching, "Next Station" garnered significant crowdfunding, proving Maryam's ability to resonate with audiences and secure support for her vision.

Her experiences extend far beyond Baku. While studying in Istanbul, Maryam secured accreditation to the Cannes Film Festival and later attended the Sarajevo Film Festival, immersing herself in the global film community. These festivals offered more than networking opportunities; they were crucial for her development and understanding of the global film industry. "It was the turning point that unlocked countless new opportunities and experiences," Maryam recalls, highlighting the doors these festivals opened for her.

For Maryam, filmmaking is deeply personal. "I always write and strive to direct stories that allow me to explore my own emotions and experiences," she explains.
